Freemasons in Belgrave Light the Way


Hundreds of Belgrave residents took to the streets over the weekend of 21 June to celebrate the winter solstice. The event, which was co-ordinated by volunteers and supported by the Burrinja Belgrave traders and lantern artists, saw the idyllic lanterns fill the evening’s sky to celebrate the shortest day of the year on Saturday night. The event heralds the turning point with new beginnings celebrated coming into longer days in the lead-up to spring. Freemasons Victoria: 125th Anniversary walk-through exhibition


Freemasons Victoria received such positive comments about the 125th Anniversary walk-through exhibition that was launched last month, that the exhibition will now be open to the public for the next couple of months, from Monday 7 July in the Board Room of the Dallas Brooks Centre during normal DBC opening hours. Featuring an incredible selection of items dating back to the mid-1800s, the exhibition is a real eye-opener, not only for its Freemasonry history, but for its insight into the development of Melbourne, Victoria. RFBI Celebrates National Open Day


On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June RFBI villages joined aged care providers around Australia in celebrating the inaugural National Open Day, a day to celebrate quality services to support the ageing population. The day was a great success for all of our facilities, as staff and residents showed off to their local communities the services and positive experiences of aged care and retirement living at RFBI. Fantastic Special Bike for Mt View Primary School


She advised that the school had been prompted to make the contact as a result of viewing Channel 31’s Freemasons: The Inside Story. Late in 2013, Freemasons Victoria and Lodge of Rapport responded to the request to fund the special bicycle that is designed to assist pupils with a physical disability. Fitted with special pedals and training wheels, the bike is also capable of supporting heavier children and provides an upright riding position. The Lodge of Rapport donated funds, which were matched dollar for dollar by the Freemasons Victoria Board of Benevolence, totalling the cost for the bicycle of $729.50. ... Read More »

Tarra Trail Fitness Park Officially Opened


The Wellington Shire will now take responsibility for the popular facility. Freemason, Bill Kee of Tarra Lodge No. 127 in Yarram, is the man behind the Fitness Park, and welcomed the large crowd to witness the handover, thanking all who were responsible for helping to establish the park. “The Tarra Trail Fitness Park will provide a substantial asset to local community and will assist with the health, fitness and wellbeing of its members as well as attract visitors to the area”, Bill said. “It also fits with the Smile You’re in Yarram project.
