Kingston’s Lodge – Giving back to community


  Kingston’s Masonic Lodge drew its annual Monster Meat Raffle on April 9th 2014, with Kathy Wright winning the side of beef. Held at the Crown Inn Hotel, the raffle raised $1600 for the Kingston Community School Pedal Prix teams. This year’s successful raffle had the help of the Pedal Prix team, with teacher Craig Watson and a number of the students helping to sell tickets. ONE hundred years of Freemasonry in Wingham will be honoured on July 5. The Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of NSW and ACT, Derek James Robson AM will attend the Wingham Lodge to join with local Freemasons to mark the day. Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organisations. Cootamundra Masonic Lodge closes after 129 years


After 129 years of meeting in Cootamundra, the Cootamundra Masonic Lodge held its last ever meeting on last Thursday night, November 21, at its Cooper Street building. Unfortunately declining membership and increased costs have forced the difficult decision to sell the building and the members to consolidate with the Masonic Lodge at Harden. Lodge Cootamundra St John No 124 was established in 1884 under the Scottish Constitution and in 1888 joined with other constitutions to form the United Grand Lodge of New South Wales.
