Shriners Hospitals for Children in Spokane provides pediatric orthopedic care for children. Minnesota Masonic Charities Offers Heating Assistance for Vets


BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Masonic Grand Lodge of Minnesota together with Minnesota Masonic Charities presented a $40,000 check to Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) this week to help veterans with their heating costs during the harsh winter. “Most people filled their propane tanks in the fall, thinking it would last until spring,” said Kathleen A. Vitalis, President/CEO of MACV. “At the time, the price per gallon was something like $2. Masonic Temple to change hands in February; first tenants move in


Jefferson County Democratic Committee Chairman Ronald H. Cole had doubts about moving the committee into the long-vacant Masonic Temple on Washington Street. When he went through it six weeks ago, the downtown landmark was in rough shape, with holes in walls, old pinkish-colored carpeting and the smell of cats inside, he said. With some coaxing, the Democratic Committee became the first tenant of the Masonic Temple, still very much a work in progress as new developers continue to prepare for its acquisition. Avon Park Masonic Lodge celebrates 100 years


AVON PARK – For 100 years, it’s been a stronghold of benevolence, outreach and fraternization. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Avon Park’s Freemasons’ Poinciana Lodge #227 Free and Accepted Masons (F.& A.M.) presence in the city and is inviting the public to help celebrate. Scottish Rite Masons help Hawkins students put best foot forward with shoe donation


ROGERSVILLE — The Scottish Rite Masons of Knoxville made a pre-Christmas delivery of 287 pairs of athletic shoes for elementary and middle school students in Hawkins County. For the second year in a row, the Scottish Rite Masons worked with local school officials to find students in need of shoes and to get that order filled. The organization takes great pride in the outreach project, and its members plan on continuing it for years to come.
