Lodges open their doors to the public

Joining with Masonic lodges across the Commonwealth, Freemasons who meet across Cape Ann will open their doors to the public on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as part of the 2012 Fall Open House, a statewide celebration of Freemasonry. “If you’ve ever wondered who the Freemasons are, or what the inside of their building looks like, here’s your chance to find out,” local Mason Eric Bergengren said in a prepared statement. Grand Lodge of California annual Celebration

Grand Lodge of California celebrated the 163rd Annual Communication, which took place on September 21-23, 2012. Masons from around the state gathered at the California Masonic Memorial Temple in San Francisco. Guests included members from every California jurisdiction – as well as those from throughout the United States and the world. Festivities included a formal Grand Master’s banquet at the Union Square Hilton, special speeches from Masonic and educational leaders, and a never-before-seen video documentary on Masonic regalia sponsored by the Henry Wilson Coil Library and Museum of Freemasonry. Monte Vista Masonic Lodge No 73 laid a cornerstone at the new Monte Vista High School building

Saturday, Sept. 22, Monte Vista Masonic Lodge No 73, with the assistance of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Colorado laid a cornerstone at the new Monte Vista High School building. The event was open to the public and sponsored by Monte Vista Lodge No 73 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (AF&AM). The school is located at 295 Prospect Ave. in Monte Vista. School and local officials were attended.
