Stratton Richey, Metropolitan Grand Lodge Charity Steward, has announced that the Grand Charity’s Relief Chest has now raised over £5 Million since inception. Each year the Metropolitan Masonic Charity awards support grants to many London based small charities and good causes. Said Stratton “The world is a different place today, much has changed even from one year ago. Finances are hard, but the generosity of London Masons is undiminished. Charity is one of the Great Pillars under which we practice our Masonry. Charity does not always mean giving cash; it is part of a way of life and fits well into a Mason’s heart. We continue to help others in so many ways. Long may that continue”.
