Wiltshire Freemasons need little encouragement to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance – recently White Horse Lodge No 2227 did just that; this week we report on a donation from The Grand Charity.
The Freemasons’ Grand Charity together with members from Wiltshire Lodges has been a regular supporter of air ambulance charities in recent years, donating over £1.5 million in total to twenty-two rescue services since 2007.
Air ambulances rely on voluntary donations to operate and it is support from grant makers such as Wiltshire Freemasons which ensures doctors and paramedics reach patients in emergency situations as quickly as possible – saving lives in the process.
In presenting a cheque for £4,000, Francis Wakem, Provincial Grand Master for Wiltshire Freemasons said:
“We are delighted to be able to show our support for the air ambulance once again. Charity is central to Freemasonry and Wiltshire Freemasons are especially happy to support their local air ambulance service”
