Grand Lodge of California celebrated the 163rd Annual Communication, which took place on September 21-23, 2012. Masons from around the state gathered at the California Masonic Memorial Temple in San Francisco. Guests included members from every California jurisdiction – as well as those from throughout the United States and the world.
Festivities included a formal Grand Master’s banquet at the Union Square Hilton, special speeches from Masonic and educational leaders, and a never-before-seen video documentary on Masonic regalia sponsored by the Henry Wilson Coil Library and Museum of Freemasonry. Ladies in attendance were treated to a special performance of San Francisco’s own Beach Blanket Babylon.
Newly-elected Grand Master John Lowe and his wife, Becky, explained how the fraternity’s support for Raising A Reader will continue over the next year, strengthening even more families in our state’s most vulnerable communities and building a legacy of literacy in California.
The 164th Annual Communication will be held from Oct. 4-6, 2013.
