Grand Lodge of California, member’s seminar

Grand Lodge of California, member’s seminar

Once again, the Annual Educational Seminar for all members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows is being held. On February 9th and 10th, 2013, the members will have an opportunity to unite and learn more about the Order, as well as meet other members throughout the jurisdiction. This year’s seminar is being held at the newly renovated Ramada Inn at Santa Nella.

An array of topics will be presented. Some of these center around the duties and procedures of lodge desk officers, but the main focus of the presentations and discussions will be on membership.

The seminar has experienced an evolution over over the years, first being called the Noble Grands and Vice Grands Seminar. Then, it was opened up for all lodge officers, called the Officers Seminar. Now, it is geared toward all members. This is the Members’ Seminar, where the topics discussed still include the duties of our lodge officers, but now include topics for all members.

The cost for the hotel stay, materials, snacks, dinner, and breakfast is only $165.00 per member. This is for a single room. For those who choose to stay with another paid member, the cost is $145.00. Any questions, please call brothers Peter V. Sellars ( 415-861-1737 ) or Donald J. Lang ( 408-252-3954 ).
