Spring Hill Lodge donates $2,500

SPRING HILL — The Spring Hill Masonic Lodge has donated $2,500 to the Spring Hill Police Department for the department’s needy children’s gift fund. Spring Hill Lodge Secretary Donald Hover presented the check to Dawn McDaniel, executive assistant of Spring Hill Police Department, Dec. 8 during the Annual Masonic Lodge Widows Dinner.

The Spring Hill Masonic Lodge has supported the police department’s needy children fund for several years. This year was a great success fueled by the large turnout at October’s Benefit Fish Fry. All profits from the fish fry were used for the needy children’s fund. Money raised from other events will support the lodge’s other charities. “You are awesome. If not for the Masons, the program would definitely struggle to get gifts for the children,” Mrs. McDaniel said. “Your contribution made sure that all the children would get a gift for Christmas.” –
