Derbyshire Freemasons make £2.4 million donation to charity


Freemasons and their families in Derbyshire have raised over £2.4 million for the organisation’s health, care and research charity. The Masonic Samaritan Fund (MSF) received the £2.4 million donation raised following a six-year fundraising appeal from members in the county. The MSF awards grants totalling £4.5 million each year in support of members’ health and care needs as well as to medical research charities which aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and disabilities that affect everyone in our communities. Grand Charity Supports Wiltshire Air Ambulance


Wiltshire Freemasons need little encouragement to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance – recently White Horse Lodge No 2227 did just that; this week we report on a donation from The Grand Charity. The Freemasons’ Grand Charity together with members from Wiltshire Lodges has been a regular supporter of air ambulance charities in recent years, donating over £1.5 million in total to twenty-two rescue services since 2007. England to Take on Scotland in Masonic ‘Calcutta Cup’


After months of trying to get this event off the ground, Durham Masonic Rugby Football Club have just confirmed that an England V Scotland Masonic Rugby match will take place on Saturday 9th August 2014 at Murrayfield Stadium. Scotland (Masonic team) V England (combined NMRC & DMRFC) 3pm kick off at Murrayfield Stadium (not the main pitch but the pitch outside the stadium). Wiltshire Freemasons Make a Major Donation to Victim Support


The Charity Victim Support Wiltshire has received a number of donations from Wiltshire Freemasons in recent years, but the latest is certainly one of the largest! On the 27 May, Francis Wakem Provincial Grand Master and Stephen Bridge Provincial Grand Charity Steward attended Victim Support’s Devizes office and presented a cheque for £10,000 to the charity; this fantastic sum consisted of £5,000 donated by Wiltshire Freemasons and a further £5,000 of matched funding from the Freemasons’ Grand Charity. Bristol Freemasons raise £4,000 for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity


The Province of Bristol Freemasons have presented Great Western Air Ambulance with a donation of £4,000. Representatives from the group visited the base, and dressed as Critical Care paramedics for the photo. The money was raised through The Freemason’s Grand Charity, which has been a regular supporter of air ambulance charities in recent years. In total the charity has donated more than £1.5million to 22 rescue services since 2007. Every air ambulance charity in England and Wales has received funding.
