GRANDE LOGE NATIONALE FRANÇAISE In 2012 the United Grand Lodge of England, the Grand Lodge of Ireland and the Grand Lodge of Scotland (the Home Grand Lodges), because of internal problems within the Grande Loge Nationale Française (GLNF), each withdrew recognition from the GLNF. This action was undertaken in the belief that it was in the best interests of the Home Grand Lodges to distance themselves from the problems within the GLNF and to give the GLNF time and space to resolve their problems without external interference. Nicolás Orlando Breglia is the new Grand Master of Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina. Following the elections that took place in the Grand Lodge of Argentina, the Deputy Grand Master was elected Grand Master of the Freemasonry in Argentina. Dr. Nicolás Orlando Breglia is the successor of Angel Jorge Clavero and won 77.6% of the total votes. Breglia has a term of three years and his election to this position ensures the continuity of policies and projects implemented by Clavero. Breglia is an Argentine lawyer and historian of Freemasonry. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, a former adviser to several unions and is the author of several books on Freemasonry. ... Grand Lodge of Iowa awards senior high school student a $2,000 scholarship – totaling $120.000 this year alone.

Drew M. Wishon, a senior at Clarke Community High School in Osceola, has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Grand Lodge of Iowa, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Wishon was one of 60 Iowa high school students selected to receive the scholarship from more than 650 applicants. Iowa Masons award scholarships each year in recognition of a student’s academic performance, community activities, leadership and financial need. Since the program’s inception in 1970, the Grand Lodge of Iowa has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to more than 1,800 students.
