Vacancy – Assistant Grand Secretary & Director of Secretariat
A new post is being created at a very senior level to support the present Assistant Grand Secretary in the performance of his duties. As well as being an experienced Freemason, the ideal candidate should have a degree and/or a professional qualification, and have strong administrative skills. The duties will be wide-ranging and will include responsibility for the smooth running of meetings of United Grand Lodge of England and Supreme Grand Chapter of England, and various committees; drafting and preparation of documents; provision of advice; and management of the Secretariat and Registration Departments and their respective managers and staff. A clear and methodical approach to the work is essential, with close attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively under pressure and to meet predefined deadlines.
Applicants should be capable of working on their own and as part of a team, prepared, on occasion, to carry out routine tasks, as well as to undertake individual projects of a substantial (and often confidential) nature. Competitive salary and terms package applies.
